24hrs at the Royal Lancaster

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know by now that I’m pretty partial to a bit of travel here and there. However until yet, I had yet to experience a staycation!

My mum lives around three hours away so we are always in need a whole weekend together catching up. When I was given the opportunity to stay at Royal Lancaster I thought it was be the perfect location for a girlie weekend filled with shopping, sightseeing and eating (A LOT).

The Royal Lancaster has the most amazing location and is surrounded by some of the best areas of London including Notting Hill, Bond Street, Marylebone & Knightsbridge (all can be reached within 30 min walk). As you can imagine my Mum and I were spoilt for choice and spent a good hour on the first morning debating where we should go first!

The hotel has just undergone an £80 million renovation so as you can imagine it’s beautifully decorated. The lobby is an Instagrammer’s dream. There is a sweeping marble staircase which looks almost palatial and a newly opened cafe (also covered in marble)  where I enjoyed about 5679 lattes and cakes.

I took this snap on the staircase before heading out to dinner…

The view from the rooms at the Lancaster was also something quite special (there are 18 stories so the view spans over London and Hyde park). Each room has been designed beautifully and have the extra details which make you feel a little bit spoilt (including the fluffiest dressing gowns EVER).

We obviously couldn’t resist a spot of breakfast in bed just so we could make the most of the beautiful room and view. The pancakes were an absolute DREAM.
