Spring Beauty Favourites

So we have officially hit Spring (apparently!!) and the dreaded January and February are over (YAY)…but I can’t help but feel in a state of Fashion limbo… It’s neither Summer, nor Winter and I am struggling what to wear. I am desperate to style my new Spring dresses but the weather still resembles the Antarctic…

HOWEVER I have already made some firm changes to my Beauty Routine. I have recently discovered some new products which I am desperate to share with you! These have managed to sneak into my beauty regime and I am now using them religiously…

So first up are some Skincare discoveries…

Elizabeth Arden Probiotic Cleanser

I am just OBSESSED with the consistency of this cleanser. At first it has a foamy texture but once it’s applied to the face it turns into more of a thick clay. If I have a bit of spare time in the morning, I will actually leave it on for about five minutes before washing it off (a mask and cleanser in one)! This is ideal for unclogging pores and removing impurities.

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster

I struggle with the texture of my skin so I’m always on the look out for products which will help my skin feel smoother. I use this after I have cleansed my skin and before a moisturiser (it actually helps to maximise the absorption of the moisturiser applied on top). This booster helps your skin to naturally repair and renew itself and after only a few weeks of using it my skin felt smoother and brighter. It does add another step into your routine but its SO worth it.

L’oreal Smooth Sugars Clear Scrub

I try to use this 2-3 times a week to help my skin feel smoother and look clearer. It contains peppermint and lemongrass which are perfect for purifying the skin and reducing blemishes. I particularly love that this is a natural sugar scrub so it’s a lot more environmentally friendly. PLUS it smells an absolute DREAM. I also use this on my lips so my lipstick has a better finish.

Avene Hydrance Intense Serum

This little beauty forms water reservoirs in the skin to intensly hydrate the skin and protect the skins barrier. It also contains Avene spring water so the serum feels SO refreshing when applied to the skin and is really easily absorbed.

Next up are the new additions to my makeup bag…

Guerlain ‘KissKiss Love’ lipstick

So every single one of us needs a lipstick this colour right?… The Guerlain babe of a lipstick has the cutest heart shape. It has a satin finish (with Mango butter to moisturise) but still has great hold. Just make sure you pop on lip liner first. As an added bonus it smells just like Violets!

Guerlain Meteorites Blusher

The dreamiest strobing palette to sculpt (it’s part of the spring collection so has the prettiest pink packaging).  I use the dark pink to sculpt my cheekbones and pearly beige to brighten my nose and lips. The pearly pink shade can also be used to highlight the hairline and top the cheekbones. It adds the perfect peachy radiance for Spring!

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Face Base

I genuinely don’t know what I would do without this… A primer and moisturiser in one, It ensures seamless makeup application. The texture is like a balm/butter but contains no oil so doesn’t feel greasy. It also contains Vitamin B, C and E which help promote antioxidant protection. I went to the New Forest the other weekend and forgot to bring this. My makeup literally lasted half as long!

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Foundation

I’m a teenie bit obsessed with this so you have probably seen this all over my Instagram story… It’s a brand new launch for 2018 and it’s already become my daily foundation. With a matte finish and oil control its great if you have combination skin like me. Also whilst it is both high coverage and long-wear  it (SOMEHOW?) doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin.

Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner

If you have read some of my older beauty posts you’ll know I struggle with perfecting my eyeliner. For those of you who also struggle with getting their flicks precise and symmetrical, this will answer your prayers! I apply it in the morning and it still remains smudge free by the evening. Its also highly pigmented so you can create a more dramatic look for a night out or dinner.

Louboutin Beauty Nail Varnish

So you probably know by now that I LOVE a louboutin nail varnish. I also have a deep burgundy shade but this colour is absolutely perfect for Spring. It can brighten up any outfit and obviously the bottle is to die for. This shade is ‘Jazzy Doll’.

Finally I have found the perfect fragrance for Spring…

Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede

This scent is the perfect combination of floral peonies and a more sensual suede. An absolute dream for Spring if you don’t want anything too light! I actually have the travel sized version which is so perfect for keeping in your handbag or for weekends away.

Hope you enjoyed reading my about my new favourites! Do drop me any comments/questions below xx
